I'm Genevieve and I'd like to invite you into my kitchen, where I am proud to serve simple, good foods that rely on the quality of the ingredients rather than elaborate preparation. We're located right around the corner at 19 E. State Street in Doylestown, Pennsylvania.

I’m passionate about Italian and Mediterranean cuisines. The menu items are among my very favorites that I’ve perfected over time. Each dish is prepared from scratch. From hearty portions of homemade pastas, topped with the perfect amount of Italian spaghetti gravy to fresh pork, beef, chicken and seafood dishes. I’ve poured my heart and soul into Genevieve’s Kitchen and I’m excited to share that passion with you.

When I created this menu I was driven by seasonally inspired Mediterranean and Italian flavors that can be  prepared with fresh ingredients. Every item you see on the menu is prepared fresh each day with precision and detail. It remains simple and pure but full of flavor and passion.

My passion for food started when I was young, cooking at the side of my mom and great aunt at our Italian family gatherings in New Jersey. One of my first memories was learning how to make Italian spaghetti gravy with my mom, which was passed down from my great grandmother, Mama. You may wonder what Italian spaghetti gravy is? Well, it’s actual homemade Italian spaghetti sauce. It’s thought that immigrants translated the Italian for what they put on their pasta as gravy, while others translated it as sauce, and the translations have been passed down through the generations. Barely able to reach the counter, my mom had me smell each ingredient -- parsley, garlic and basil. She taught me how she selected the freshest ground beef and the best veal. I watched her roll the meatballs with freshly grated cheese and homemade breadcrumbs – each one a work of art. To this day my passion stems from those memories in my mom’s kitchen and that’s exactly why I’m opening my kitchen to you. I want to share my passion for food with you. Pure. Simple. Good. Through high-school and college, I continued to master my culinary skills at Amici's in the old Italian neighborhood of Chambersburg. After graduating from college, I was fortunate to formalize my culinary training at L'Academie de Cuisine in Gaithersburg, Maryland under the direction of European trained Chef, Pascal Dionot. For the past 16 years I have worked for an international food service company where I was able to sharpen my culinary skills, learn business acumen and perfect my marketing skills. But my love of food keeps me focused and continues to be my true love. That love was deepened as I have explored and traveled locally and abroad, experiencing different cultures and their rich food traditions. Central to my approach is bringing this love of food to family and friends' gatherings. Genevieve’s Kitchen offers specialty house made Italian favorites, as well as traditional classics and more. We will set up in your home or designated event space and we are even able to provide linens, skirting, china and a full service staff to complete your event.

Here are a few examples of our catered hors d’oeuvres.

Vegetarian Options: fresh figs roasted with balsamic reduction, caprese skewers with grape tomatoes, fresh mozzarella and basil or crostini with wild mushrooms, truffle oil and pecorino to name a few.

Seafood Options:
lump crab and wasabi sliders, mini smoked salmon & crème fraiche potato pancakes, seared ahi tuna and crostini with baby arugula and wasabi soy glaze to name a few.

Meat Options: cilantro lime chicken quesadilla, Beef tenderloin slider with local micro greens and horseradish mustard, Rosemary grilled lollipop lamb loin chop to name a few.

Dessert Options: mini lemon squares, figs and blackberries with mascarpone and honey, strawberries dipped in chocolate to name a few.
